We're on the lookout for new trustees
Winchester Poetry Festival brings new audiences to poetry. Its vibrant biennial festival, annual international poetry competition, growing programme of work in schools, publishing and one-off events are all designed to promote the enjoyment of poetry.
Founded in 2013 we are looking to maintain our success and the sustainability of the organisation and are seeking new trustees with appropriate experience, skill and commitment to steer the organisation beyond 2020.
If you have a passion for poetry – or are simply ‘poetry curious’ – and can make a creative and strategic contribution to the board then Winchester Poetry Festival would like to hear from you.
Trustees serve in a voluntary capacity with the satisfaction of supporting a distinctive and highly regarded arts charity. The board is concerned with maintaining the festival’s reputation for surprising and delighting its audiences, fostering new partnerships, maintaining a robust financial operation, and broadening the audience base.
In 2020 the board will also be looking to appoint a new Chair. If you have experience of trusteeship in the voluntary sector and/or cultural bodies and would like to be considered for this role do please get in touch. Further details of the role can be found here.
Winchester Poetry festival is committed to equality and diversity in all aspects of its work and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community. For further information and/or an informal conversation please email the chairman, Stephen Boyce, at
